From Tokyo Station, go to Kanda and transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line at Kanda. Take the train bound for Asakusa and get off at "Tawaramachi" It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Tawaramachi. It takes about 30 minutes in total!

- really good located in Asakusa - nice little room with a comfy bed - friendly staff - luggage storage possible

- there could be more hooks or shelves to put your stuff on as there really is no room for anything (but lots of space „on the walls“)

Modern and clean hostel with the best location in Kappabashi

Modern hostel with clean rooms and nice facilities on the ground floor (small kitchen and sitting area). The location is its best selling point. In the middle of the kitchen district of Kappabashi and within walking distance of Asakusa (10min) or Ueno (20min). Even though you're staying so close to everything the area is quite.

The walls are thin so you can hear quite some sounds from the hallway and other guests. They have a quite time policy, so the nuisance was kept to a minimum.

Wonderful

We loved staying at this hostel, the first of our trip in Japan. The staff here are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic for us, we loved the area as it felt very local, quiet and residential. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great too.

The room is a little small, it takes some organising to find some extra room but it wasn't a big deal as we were out all day every day.

Wonderful

We travelled with my partner just the two of us, and looked for a good location for our stay. I can tell, we found it. The staff were really helpful and kind, we even get a little present on our last day. The room was what we expected, small but neat and also clean. The metro and combi store was also quite close and great tradicional restaurants nearby to try. Fantastic. I hope we will come back.

I just wanted to suggest some shelves near the mirror area, as the room is preatty small, it can be more convenient for those who are not alone. Unfortunatelly the ac was noisy, but it can be fixed in no time.

Location which is not to far from subway and Asakusa attractions. The water pressure for shower is awesome.

Excellent stay with friendly staff

I stayed here twice, once for 5 nights and once for 2 nights. Staff is very friendly and they are like a group of friends, who occasionally organise a small party in the common area. I met some nice people here during both stays. Rooms are very neat and tidy and the location of the hostel is also great.

According to Western standards the shower is a bit small (for tall people) and the mattress is a bit hard. The rooms are not very well isolated and it may be a bit noisy (it seemed to differ per room). The hostel kindly provides earplugs for this as a standard, just in case it bothers you.

Nice Hostel in fab Tokyo neighbourhood

- good location in asakusa, close to restaurants and the temple. We really liked the area, lots to do but less crowded than hotspots like Shinjuku which could be overwhelming! - all staff were lovely and friendly, we had nice conversations with Mao! - very clean, quiet, good kitchen facilities - gave us fresh towels on request - free umbrellas to use

- slightly far location from the subway (8 min walk), it was fine but after a long day it was hard going - would have loved if there was more information provided on what to do locally and best places to go

Great for a solo traveller looking for a simple and cost effective room.

Every single one of the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Great area that's quiet and close to the famous attractions of Asakusa and public transit.The kitchen is equipped with the basics, if you wanted to reheat food you brought back or to cook something for yourself. The room was small but has everything you need, which is exactly what I was looking for; a home base for my travels with no extra frills. If you need laundry done, there's two washers on the first floor for 500 yen for both washing and drying.

Would come again. Excellent value for money and wonderful location.

Lovely location, peaceful and attractive. Lots of shops and konbini in the vicinity and Asakusa with its temple and shops/restaurants a short walk. Reasonably convenient for both metro and JR rail lines - less than 10 minute walk to metro and about 15-20 minute walk to Ueno for the Yamanote line and other JR lines including Shinkansen. Staff friendly and helpful. Room small but very comfortable.

No “vibe” as such, if you’re after a party atmosphere it’s not the place. But felt like home to me. Having said that the staff are very friendly and if you did choose to sit in the living space they would be very likely to engage you in conversation.

Within 20 minutes walk of several metro stations and lines (although not within 5 of any), nice tranquil neighborhood, close to a couple of great busy ones. Very kind, helpful staff.

Walls are very thin - you'll hear your neighbors and they'll hear you. Room was humid even with AC on the "dry" or "cool" settings.

Great hostel!

The staff in this hostel is amazing! So friendly and helpful. Especially Ai-san, she became friends with our one year old daughter Loved the location too!

We would have maybe liked a bit more storage options inside the room (like a clothing rack).
